The Vice President of Sales is a newly created leadership role that will be responsible for driving revenue growth and managing our expanding sales team. As the VP of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing revenue growth plans, developing and communicating the sales vision to the team, and motivating them to perform. You must have a proven track record of closing deals and growing revenue.
Drive revenue growth
Develop sales goals, quota, and compensation plans
Oversee activities of sales management – training, recruiting, performance evaluations, commission compensations, motivation, and discipline
Lead, coach, and motivate sales team
Identify new market opportunities and geographies as well as ensure client retention
Analyze and recommend appropriate pricing strategies
Travel frequently to customer and sales team locations
Attend trade events as necessary
5+ years’ experience of proven sales or business development leadership
Verifiable track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals
Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent practical experience
Experience hiring and managing a team of field sales, enterprise sales, and, inside sales representatives
Loves to be hands on and leading by example yet has a team-centric attitude
Possesses a positive management style
Highly collaborative with working with other team members and executive team
Operates well in a fast-paced start-up/scale-up culture
Proven track record of scaling a diverse sales teams in B2B and in a technology company
Experience with wireless technology is a plus
Strong network in fleet tracking or temperature monitoring solutions is a plus
Communicates across departments to develop goals and client strategies.
Operate autonomously and take ownership of the business results with an entrepreneurial mindset
