Marketing Specialist

Job description

We are currently looking for an ambitious and energetic Marketing Specialist with excellent writing skills and light design skills to join our busy marketing team. The Marketing Specialist will provide support to the Director of Marketing with an emphasis creating and managing content for our digital, sales, and social media channels. The ideal person is flexible, proactive, and resourceful. This is a very fast-paced office, so we have high expectations and aggressive deadlines. However, we are also a close-knit team with a fun environment. This is a non-exempt, full-time position, with a pay rate of $18 - $24/hour ($38,000-$50,000 annualized), located in our Burbank, CA office. Please include a portfolio or content creation or writing samples.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create content for sales and marketing materials. “Content” is a broad term that can refer to blogs, articles, social media posts, collateral, PowerPoint presentation, scripts, email templates, and website content. You must be an excellent writer!
  • Source content by working with different department
  • Work with video production vendors
  • Manage social media accounts: FB, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn
  • Engage with social media followers
  • Recommend new ideas and innovations to grow and improve audience
  • Other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 1+ years of related experience
  • Ability to write clearly and persuasively  
  • Basic understanding and ability to work in CMS platforms, such as WordPress
  • A working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign 
  • Basic Video Editing knowledge (a plus) 
  • Can thrive in fast-paced start-up environment
  • Self-sufficient, motivated to excel, well-organized
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, with high attention to detail
