We provide a fast-paced, casual, friendly work environment with team lunches, snacks, benefits, and paid time off. We are seeking a highly-organized, focused, determined Hardware Tester to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position located in our Burbank, CA office.


Responsibilities:

 

Hardware Testing

  • Test newly arrived devices (sensors and gateways)
  • Ensure devices function per manufacturers’ instructions
  • Document entire device testing procedure and collect data that would be useful in assessing the accuracy of the device
  • Document: functionality of devices, downlink commands, installation guidelines, etc.
  • Accurately maintain and update time logs of testing progress and status, next steps
  • Learn how to use and install new devices and share with internal team such as integration and sales
  • Update across internal systems new device information (eg. Web marketplace, device catalog, testing documents, etc.)
  • Collect and record device property information, eg. HS code, pricing, etc.
  • Ensure that device joins with TTN
  • Payloads are decoded properly
  • App displays all information correctly
  • Devices stay connected for >72 hours
  • Check history of device to ensure that payloads are not being missed frequently

Research

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or related field preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience testing hardware/software
  • Experience creating and following testing protocol
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Ability to think creatively and problem solve
  • Aptitude to learn quickly and ask questions
  • Exposure of devices communication protocols such as LoRa, NB-IOT, Zigbee, BLE is a major plus
  • Knowledge of decoding payload of LoRa devices is a major plus
  • Local to the Greater Los Angeles area
